Anthea d’Emden has been employed at Tasmania Legal Aid for 17 years, commencing in 2006 as a Family Practitioner in the Launceston office.
After 10 years in Family Law Anthea completed her Graduate Diploma in Family Dispute Resolution and for the past 7 years has been facilitating parenting, financial, and court ordered mediations for Tasmania Legal Aid.
In 2019 Anthea was appointed Manager of the FDR Program.
Anthea has presented at the National Mediation Conference on Tasmania’s Legally Assisted FDR model and is a regular presenter to the students at the Legal Practice Course.
Anthea led Tasmania Legal Aid’s successful participation in the Small Pool Property Mediation Trial and has recently completed a full review of the FDR Program.
Anthea is a Nationally Accredited Mediator, and a member of AIFLAM, Pathways and the Family Law Practitioners Association of Tasmania.
