Dr Kate Jackowski is a registered Forensic Psychologist and Board-accredited supervisor with a strong background and professional interest in the intersection between psychology, criminology and the law. Kate has worked in a diverse range of areas, including as a Family Consultant for the Family Law Courts, as well as with Victoria Police, the Royal Children’s Hospital, the Department of Justice and Community Safety, Ambulance Victoria and the Coroner’s Court of Victoria.
Kate’s experience in a broad range of high-risk environments throughout her career prompted her interest and passion in promoting staff wellbeing, self-care and career longevity. Indeed, this was a focus of her doctoral thesis research.
Furthermore, working within the family law arena for several years has provided Kate with a sound understanding of the unique challenges of working in such a high-pressured environment, as well as the impacts of acute stress and trauma on both the individual and the wider organisation.
