Dr Peter Krabman

Dr Peter Krabman works in child, adult & family psychiatry and is skilled in family, dyadic (parent/child), and individual therapies and medication treatments.

Dr. Peter Krabman is a medical doctor who specialises in psychiatry and has vast experience in treating people who have drug and alcohol problems, mental health issues, interpersonal problems, and child and adolescent psychiatry.

Training

He completed his training in North Shore and Hornsby Hospitals and later worked in military settings, including the Royal Australian Air Force base in Richmond, providing psychiatric consultations to ADF members.

Experience

Dr. Krabman has worked as a consultant to the ADF Alcohol Rehabilitation and Education Program (AREP) and has served as an active committee member of the Section (now Faculty) of Addiction Psychiatry of the RANZCP.

He also served as the medical director of the statewide program Coral Tree Family Service for seven years, which provides intensive family interventions for the families of children with severe emotional and behavioural difficulties, and worked closely with the co-located Arndell School.

Private Practice

He currently works in private practice and takes a biopsychosocial approach to assess and treat children, adolescents, and young people with individual therapy, medication treatments, and family therapy.

Dr. Krabman is skilled in preparing single expert reports in family law matters and has developed a reputation for producing thorough and skilled expert reports, aiming to assist the children and parents to move forward in a positive way.
