Clare Rowe, Developmental Psychologist will present on the increasing applications before the Family Court that involve a child with a developmental diagnosis that is disputed between parents.

With increasing rates of diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD and Learning difficulties, litigating parents have another frontier to argue about.

What is the Court and/or Experts role in evaluating the validity of these diagnoses and making Orders regarding intervention and treatment such as medication? 

Clare is the founder of Rowe & Associates Child and Family Psychology.

As an Educational and Developmental Psychologist she specialises in paediatric psychology including assessment and diagnosis of childhood disorders such as ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, learning disorders and giftedness.

She has extensive experience in the treatment of childhood and adolescent anxiety and depression, and parental training in behavioural management with oppositional behavioural difficulties.

She also writes Family Reports as a Single Expert Witness, often being called upon in cases that involve the assessment of child development, disputes over treatment and education. She is a weekly contributor to Sky News and writes for The Australian newspaper.
